Ross is known around the world for taking some of the most complex aspects of yoga and making them clear and relatable. He is considered one of the most knowledgeable teachers when it comes to blending strong yoga with smart yoga, but his greatest attribute is how approachable he is. Not only will you leave this weekend filled with an incredible amount of knowledge and experience, but you will also feel respected and honored for your contribution to the community we build over the course of the weekend and the larger community in which we live off the mat.

Sunday 6th May 3:30pm-6pm – BioVinyasa – Anatomy of the Low Back, Hips and Legs
We’ll close the weekend with a lower body focused BioVinyasa. A short flow followed by intermediate/advanced hip-openers and forward bends all fused with anatomy and biomechanics to give you new insights and awareness into how to safely and deeply master this category of poses.
BioVinyasa – Anatomy Visuals and Asana Flow-Class Combined!
One of the keys to a sophisticated yoga practice is our ability to “see” our own bodies accurately (our interoception) and then develop the skill to move specific parts of our body (our proprioception).
Yoga teachers often include anatomical references in their instructions, but the gap is often wide between hearing the instruction and accessing/moving that body part.
In BioVinyasa, Ross will project anatomical images and visuals from an interactive anatomy app of various bones, muscles and connective tissue. He then leads the class through a sequence of poses related to the highlighted anatomy.
You’ll be amazed at what a difference it makes to view the anatomy, visualize it internally and then feel it right away in your own body.
The class is open to all levels and is highly encouraged for teachers and students interested deepening their alignment knowledge and overall practice.
